
The Canon EOS 700D/Rebel T5i is the latest camera in the company’s “Rebel” line, which is aimed at beginners. The EOS 700D replaces the short-lived EOS 650D, but the EOS 600D stays in the lineup and moves down a notch to take the place of the EOS 550D/Rebel T2i, which will no longer be made. So long, EOS 650D. We didn’t know you well. Fruit flies have been known to live longer.

The EOS 600D/Rebel T3i has the same 18MP CMOS sensor, 9-point AF sensor, and 3:2 flip-out 1.04m dot screen that the 700D also has. But if you look a little closer, you’ll see that each of these areas has been improved, with both experienced users who want SLR performance and people who are upgrading from a compact camera and want a familiar interface in mind.
