The camera has a sensor that is 4K Super-35 sized and an EF mount that allows it to utilize Canon EF Lenses. These lenses include a variety of tilt-shift lenses, close-up lenses, Canon’s EF 8-15mm f/4L Fisheye Zoom, and Canon Cinema Primes and Cinema Zoom lenses.

The included Odyssey 7Q monitor/recorder has a 7.7-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 1280 by 800 and a contrast ratio of 3400:1. Additionally, it has two media slots that are compatible with the optional 2.5-inch SSDs from Convergent Design. The recorder comes with the Canon C500 4K RAW option already pre-installed, and it also supports ProRes 422 HQ, which enables you to record at up to 1080p 30 resolution right out of the box.

Additional codecs are not required and can be rented or purchased on an as-needed basis. The monitor/recorder is versatile, allowing you to record, playback, and show four HD video streams simultaneously on the monitor by employing quad-split monitoring. Additionally, it provides picture analysis tools such as Waveform and RGB Parade while playback is in progress.
