Canon EOS Rebel T6 / 1300D

The Canon EOS Rebel T6 / 1300D is an entry-level DSLR that is aimed at first-time ILC users as well as smartphone users looking to upgrade. The T6 is built on an 18MP APS-C sensor and has Wi-Fi and NFC for simple picture sharing while on the go. It also has a quicker CPU than its predecessor, the Rebel T5, which was released in 2013.

Nikon’s D3300, which was introduced in January 2014 but has been on the market for a while now, is the closest contender in the category.

As has been customary for Rebel models, the T6 incorporates some technology from higher-end models from prior generations, which is a good thing. It comes with a 9-point autofocus module, 1080/30p video, and built-in Wi-Fi with NFC functionality. With a battery life of 500 shots per charge, it ranks at the top of its class in terms of battery efficiency. A key selling point of the T6 isn’t found anywhere on the camera’s internals; rather, it’s printed on the exterior of the box: the camera’s lovely $500 price tag, which includes a lens.

The T6 is more suited to the demands of beginners, and it comes in at an extremely competitive price.
The Rebel series has historically excelled at providing technology passed down from previous generations at a very low price.

Although it was just a few years old, the original Digital Rebel was effectively a single-dial 10D housed in a plastic shell, and it was priced at $1000 (with kit lens) at the time, which was a breakthrough pricing for DSLRs at the time. The T6 is not only far less expensive than the original Rebel, but it is also significantly more competent and better suited to the demands of beginners.

In a nutshell, with the T6, Canon has taken numerous components from previous Rebel models that were sitting on the shelf and assembled them into a competitively priced package.
