Canon EOS Rebel T6s DSLR Camera Review

The most outstanding Rebel to date. That’s a term we use approximately once a year to make a point. For the first time, we truly mean it, and by a factor of two. Both the T6s and the T6i (known as the 760D and 750D outside of the United States) are equipped with a new 24.2MP APS-C CMOS sensor (up from 18MP on the T5i / 700D), as well as an improved 7560 pixel RGB + infrared metering sensor for more precise exposure tracking.

Despite the fact that both cameras are fairly similar, there are some significant variations between them, and therefore each will receive its own assessment. You may learn more about the T6i by visiting this page.

Canon’s new Hybrid CMOS AF III employs sensor-based phase-detection points to improve the speed and accuracy of autofocus in live view shooting situations. When shooting in live view, it also allows for the use of Servo AF, which allows you to track moving subjects while shooting. In terms of performance, Canon believes that the Hybrid CMOS III should be comparable to that of the Dual Pixel AF system (found in the EOS 70D and 7D II).

In manual mode, the Rebel T6s employs a 19-point phase-detection autofocus system similar to that found in the Canon 70D, which marks a significant advance over the T5i’s 9-point AF system. The ISO range stays the same as it did with its predecessor, ranging from 100 to 12800 and with an extendable range up to 25600.

Other enhancements include built-in Wi-Fi with NFC, which is a first for the EOS DSLRs line, and Flicker detection, which was initially introduced in the Canon EOS 7D Mark II and is now available in both versions.

In addition, some features from the Rebel T5i are carried over, including a fully articulating 3″ touchscreen LCD, 5 frames per second continuous shooting, and 1080/30p video recording.
