The Canon PowerShot G1 X Mark II features a large 1.5-inch 12.8 megapixel high-sensitivity CMOS sensor, a super-bright f/2.0-3.9 5x (24-120mm) wide-angle zoom lens, and the powerful DIGIC 6 Image Processor. Together, these three components deliver DSLR-like image quality, stunning blurred backgrounds, and superb low-light performance up to ISO 12,800.

Your photographs will come out clearer and more stable if you use the Optical Image Stabilizer. The upgraded AiAF System now has a high density of 31 AF points to ensure that the autofocus is both quick and precise. The two control rings allow for customizable zooming and focusing capability, very similar to that of a DSLR camera. This makes it easier and quicker to attain the desired picture output.

A new Aspect Ratio function is included in the PowerShot G1 X Mark II. This function allows the user to shoot photographs in either the usual 3:2 aspect ratio at 12.8 megapixels or the 4:3 aspect ratio at 13.1 megapixels, all while keeping the same angle of view.

Built-in Wi-Fi connection and NFC are included in the G1 X Mark II, making it simple to back up and share photos. Users also have the option of using their mobile device, such as a smartphone or tablet, for remote shooting.

Other notable features include a 3-inch 1,040k-dot tilting LCD touch-screen, full HD video capture at 1920 x 1080 at a frame rate of 30 frames per second, 14-bit RAW recording, High Dynamic Range (HDR) scene mode, and an enhanced Star Mode that enables users to take pictures of subjects under a starry sky that are perfectly exposed.
