There are two SD card slots on the a7III. I don’t generally recommend two different cards, but I am in this case due to a tiny but significant distinction between the two SD slots on the a7III. One slot supports UHS-II, while the other supports UHS-I.
Memory cards are required for use with the Sony a7III. You won’t be able to take many images or record many videos without it. However, SD cards are not included with the a7III by default.
There are certain bundles sold by shops that may include a memory card (or two), but it’s more likely that you’ll need to purchase one individually.
Or perhaps you desire a larger card with a greater storage capacity; the cards provided in bundles are typically small and may fill up rapidly, especially if you’re traveling. Which card should you choose?

There are two SD card slots on the a7III. It is not necessary to fill both slots, as the camera will function properly with only one, but there are benefits to doing so. The most obvious benefit is that you will have additional room for storing images and videos, but you can also customize how the cards are handled.
For instance, you can use them sequentially, switching from one to the next when the previous one is full. You can simultaneously record to them for a mirror backup. You can separate one file type onto one card and another onto the other. Or, you can copy from one to the other for a straightforward and practical method of creating a backup copy on-site.

This card, like the SanDisk Extreme Pro, features UHS-II, which this camera does not require, but it is still an excellent, dependable alternative. It has a V60 grade for video recording speed. It is available in sizes up to 256GB.

SanDisk’s flagship product is the Extreme Pro line.
It is important to notice that SanDisk cards reuse their model names. Thus, older, slower Extreme cards are available. In addition, confusingly, another form of this card is readily available. UHS-II card rated for 300 MB/s and V90 is the one I’ve listed above. There are also UHS-I cards that are rated for 170 MB/s.
Depending on how far back you go, you’ll likely discover that older versions function just fine, howev,er the most recent version is branded with both V90 and UHS-II.

Extreme memory cards from SanDisk are suitable for numerous cameras, and the same is true here. SanDisk’s Plus and Pro lines are quicker than the Extreme line, however, the Extreme line is fast enough for most cameras and typically less expensive than the Plus and Pro lines.
