The JVC GY-HM250 UHD 4K Streaming Camcorder with Built-in Lower-Thirds Graphics is a full-featured pro camcorder that eliminates the need for an external character generator or switcher in order to enable a single operator to add lower-thirds and titles while recording in HD or streaming. This camcorder is part of the JVC GY-HM250 series.

It has a 1/2.3-inch sensor and can record UHD 4K video at 24/30 frames per second, as well as 4:2:2 4K at 24/30 frames per second. This multifunctional camera provides you with the choice of recording UHD 4K video at speeds of up to 150 Mb/s to SDXC Class 3 cards or up to 70 Mb/s to SDXC/SDHC Class 10 cards.

The inbuilt IP engine of the GY-HM250 enables you to stream Full HD footage straight from the camcorder while out in the field. Additionally, it provides remote control and monitoring of the camera from your mobile device or laptop computer. When using a shared LAN across cameras, the GY-HM250 has a zeroconf configuration that can be activated with a single click and is compatible with RTMP, Zixi, and Wowza streaming.

By integrating Facebook Live within the camera, a recent firmware upgrade has made the process of connecting to it more streamlined. In HD mode, user-created graphics may be accessed and modified using a web browser on a mobile device such as a tablet or smartphone. In addition, the GY-HM250 features pre-installed color schemes and the capability to upload symbols or logos, allowing you to give the film you record a more unique appearance.

A 35mm equivalent focal range of 29.6 to 355mm is provided via an incorporated 12x zoom lens with a tele-macro feature. Additionally, when recording in HD, a 24x dynamic zoom mode is offered for the user’s convenience. The camcorder has a 3.5-inch LCD, a 0.24″ viewfinder, and a smart focus assist function, which may be used for creating and monitoring video footage, respectively.

Other features include dual card ports compatible with SDHC and SDXC, two inbuilt neutral density filters, and an integrated stereo microphone. The JVC GY-HM250 camcorder is equipped with 3G-SDI and HDMI outputs as well as twin XLR audio inputs, making it ideally suited for integration into professional workflows. In addition to the camera itself, you will receive a top handle unit with an integrated audio box, a 7.4 VDC battery, and an AC converter.
