The JVC GY-HM660 ProHD Mobile News Streaming Camera has a design that is both user-friendly and lightweight, and it has the potential to gather mobile news in a quick and effective manner. The GY-HM660 comes with an integrated GPS system, Wi-Fi connectivity that enables FTP file uploads, and remote control and remote viewing applications for both iOS and Android.

In addition, a dual codec recording capacity enables simultaneous capture in HD and SD, or HD and 14 HD, for distribution over the web. You are able to record locally while concurrently broadcasting thanks to the technology that is built-in to the streaming feature. Please be aware that in order to stream content from the camera, you will need to acquire either a Wi-Fi adapter, a 4G LTE modem, or a LAN connection that can be plugged into the USB port on the camera.

The imaging system of the camera comprises three 1/3 lens “sensors using CMOS technology with a bit depth of 12 and a resolution of 1920 by 1080. The camera is capable of recording NTSC broadcast compatible frame rates up to 59.94p in AVCHD and incorporates a 23x Fujinon autofocus zoom lens with manual focus and zoom capabilities in addition to a built-in 3-position neutral density filter. HD-SDI and HDMI are both available as connection options.

MPEG-2, AVCHD 2.0, as well as SD and Proxy H.264, are the several formats that are included in the extensive recording possibilities. There are two SDXC/SDHC slots available that may be used for simultaneous recording of dual codecs or relay recording.
