DJI’s new drone is out of this world

Today, the new DJI Avata came out, and this little drone looks so cool.

First of all, let me say that I think DJI drones are some of the most amazing things made in the last ten years. Every three months, it seems, a new DJI drone comes out that makes the old one seem out of date.

Just a few years ago, you had to buy a certain kind of drone to do a certain kind of shooting. Want it to be big or small? safe? nimble? or do you want the most stable and best quality image? Do you want it to be flexible and work with a headset or a screen on the controller?

The DJI Avata seems to have put all the best features into an FPV drone that fits in the palm of your hand and has guards for the propellers built in. It was made to crash and can right itself even if it falls on its back. You can fly it with a VR headset and 3D motion controller that you can buy separately. To fly the drone, you move your wrist.

It has a 4k camera with options for stabilizing the image and the horizon.

DJI didn’t like my review of the action camera they sent me, so they didn’t send me an early copy of this drone, but they did send it to other creators. Below are some of the best reviews.
