The Nextbase IQ, which will be unveiled at CES 2022, is set to be the finest of all dash cams. Not only does it have its own Wi-Fi and 4G connections (no phone required), but it also has voice activation, three-channel exterior/interior/rear 1080/1440/2160p captures, GPS, and a slew of other advanced safety features.
NXT Tech features live views from anywhere through the Internet, customizable alarms for times when others are driving your vehicle, and even a spatial awareness function that tries to predict and record accidents whether or not the driver is there. This spatial awareness also generates warnings about potential pedestrian collisions with other cars. The safety package is completed by the prevention of driver drowsiness as well as the notification of emergency services.
There are surely a slew of standard dash cam capabilities as well. Nextbase has been playing for a long time and knows all the ins and outs of the game. While the Nextbase IQ does not require a phone to work, a phone app is available for setting, live monitoring, and general management.
The main front/interior camera, as well as the optional 1440p back camera, have an uncommonly attractive and sensible design. Their respective sizes are depicted in the image above. The colour of the rings varies depending on the state of the dash cam. Sweet.
The price of the Nextbase IQ was not available at the time of publication, however the corporation is in the upper echelon of the industry. If you want a 4G connection, don’t expect it to be cheap.
