Sensor with a resolution of 24.2MP DX-Format and an EXPEED 4 processor
The combined efforts of the 24.2-megapixel DX-format CMOS sensor and the EXPEED 4 engine result in overall outstanding image quality with considerable detail and dynamic range while maintaining color fidelity in the dark. The camera also has low-light sensitivity up to a native ISO of 25600.
In addition, the sensor’s architecture does not have an optical low-pass filter, which allows it to capture the highest level of sharpness and detail from subjects. As a result, the EXPEED 4 CPU provides a significant boost in overall performance across the camera system, including the capability for Full HD 1080p movie recording and a full-resolution continuous shooting rate of 5 frames per second.
Bluetooth Connectivity with the SnapBridge
The D3400 has a built-in SnapBridge connection, which allows for smooth picture transmission from the camera to a mobile device. This allows for a plethora of sharing and tagging options to be utilized.
Wireless connection between a camera and a smart device is enabled by BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) technology, which allows for automated 2MP image uploads as you shoot while using the camera. For up to five separate devices, SnapBridge requires a one-time configuration, and it also works in combination with NIKON IMAGE SPACE for backing up data and sharing imagery.
Sensor for autofocus with Multi-CAM 1000 technology
An effective autofocus mechanism, which utilizes 11 different AF points to swiftly acquire focus in a variety of lighting settings ranging from -1 to +19 EV, contributes to the great image quality.
Full-HD video recording is available.
Full HD 1920 x 1080p video recording is supported at several frame rates up to 60 fps, as well as HD 720p recording in the MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 format, as well HD 720p recording in the MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 format. In addition to face identification and subject tracking, full-time focusing is available throughout recording, allowing for consistent sharpness across a wide range of subject types. During movie recording, a built-in monaural microphone may be utilized to record high-quality sound, which is very useful.
Design of the Body
The D3400 is equipped with a big 3.0″ 921k-dot LCD display with a 170° viewing angle, which allows it to provide greater viewing capabilities from both high and low working angle positions. For more precise eye-level viewing and real-time monitoring of subjects, an optional brilliant pentamirror optical viewfinder is also included in the design.
A built-in pop-up flash is also available for additional lighting while working in low-light circumstances, and it is compatible with Nikon’s i-TTL flash metering technology, which allows for more accurate exposure control. In addition, a hot shoe may be utilized for connection, with an optional external flash for even more control over illumination.
The AF-P DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR Lens is a zoom lens that covers the range of 18-55mm.
The basic zoom AF-P DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR lens, which has a 35mm-equivalent focal length range of 27-82.5mm and is included with the camera body, gives a focal length range of 27-82.5mm. Because of the incorporated pulse stepping motor, this lens provides incredibly smooth, quick, and silent focusing performance that is suitable for both still photography and video recording applications. The optical design contains a pair of aspherical elements, as well as a Super Integrated Coating, which helps to reduce lens flare and ghosting while shooting in low light. Additional features include Vibration Reduction image stabilization, which reduces the appearance of camera shake while shooting handheld with this lens.
