In addition, the sensor’s architecture does not have an optical low-pass filter, which allows for improved clarity and resolution in both photographs and movies.

In addition to its imaging capabilities, the D3500 includes SnapBridge, which makes use of Bluetooth connectivity to allow you to wirelessly share images with your mobile device, including automatic sharing of 2MP images between the camera and your mobile device, to round out your imaging experience.

The D3500’s compact body is equipped with a 3.0″ 921k-dot LCD screen for live view monitoring and image review. For first-time DSLR owners, the D3500 also includes a helpful Guide Mode that walks them through the process of achieving specific photographic looks or techniques, such as how to create a shallow depth of field imagery, in an easy-to-understand, step-by-step fashion.

In addition, ten distinct Special Effects are accessible in-camera to let you express yourself more creatively.

Sensor with a resolution of 24.2MP DX-Format and an EXPEED 4 processor

The combined efforts of the 24.2-megapixel DX-format CMOS sensor and the EXPEED 4 engine result in overall outstanding image quality with considerable detail and dynamic range while maintaining color fidelity in the dark.

The camera also has low-light sensitivity up to a native ISO 25600. In addition, the sensor’s architecture does not have an optical low-pass filter, which allows it to capture the highest level of sharpness and detail from subjects.

As a result, the EXPEED 4 CPU provides a significant boost in overall performance across the camera system, including the capability for Full HD 1080p movie recording and a full-resolution continuous shooting rate of 5 frames per second.

Bluetooth Connectivity with the SnapBridge

Because it has built-in SnapBridge networking, the D3500 offers an abundance of sharing and tagging options, as well as the ability to transmit images to mobile devices without any interruptions. Wireless connection between a camera and a smart device is enabled by BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) technology, which allows for automated 2MP image uploads as you shoot while using the camera.

For up to five separate devices, SnapBridge requires a one-time configuration, and it also works in combination with NIKON IMAGE SPACE for backing up data and sharing imagery.

Sensor for autofocus with Multi-CAM 1000 technology

An effective autofocus mechanism, which utilizes 11 different AF points to swiftly acquire focus in a variety of lighting settings ranging from -1 to +19 EV, contributes to the great image quality.

Full-HD video recording is available.

Full HD 1920 x 1080p video recording is supported at several frame rates up to 60 fps, as well as HD 720p recording in the MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 format, as well HD 720p recording in the MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 format.

In addition to face identification and subject tracking, full-time focusing is available throughout the recording, allowing for consistent sharpness across a wide range of subject types. During movie recording, a built-in monaural microphone may be utilized to record high-quality sound, which is very useful.

Design of the Body

  • Because of the redesign, the body is more compact, lighter in weight, and has almost all of the back-end controls on the right-hand side of the handle, making one-handed use much simpler.
The rear 3.0″ 921k-dot LCD screen provides a big, bright display for live view shooting, menu navigation, and image playback, among other things.
  • The eye-level pentamirror optical viewfinder gives a natural manner of composing still images while shooting video.
  • When operating in low-light circumstances, the built-in pop-up flash may be employed to give extra lighting. In addition, a hot shoe is provided for use with an optional external flash as necessary.
  • The EN-EL14a lithium-ion battery that comes with the camera produces around 1550 photos per charge.

Both the AF-P DX Nikon 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR and AF-P DX Nikkor 70-300mm f/4.5-6.3G ED lenses are available now for preorder.

The basic zoom AF-P DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR lens, which has a 35mm-equivalent focal length range of 27-82.5mm and is included with the camera body, gives a 27-82.5mm equivalent focal length range.

As a result of the inbuilt pulse stepping motor, this lens provides incredibly smooth, fast, and silent focusing performance that is suitable for both still photography and video recording. The optical design includes a pair of aspherical elements, as well as a Super Integrated Coating, which helps to reduce lens flare and ghosting and improve overall image quality.

Vibration Reduction image stabilization is also included with this lens, which helps to reduce the appearance of camera shake when shooting handheld.

The telephoto zoom AF-P DX NIKKOR 70-300mm f/4.5-6.3G ED lens, which has an equivalent focal length range of 105-450mm, is also included with the camera. A single extra-low dispersion glass element is used in the optical design of this lens, which helps to eliminate chromatic aberrations across the zoom range, resulting in improved clarity and color fidelity.

Another characteristic of this lens is that it has been treated with a Super Integrated Coating, which helps to reduce ghosting and flare while working in bright light.

Additional Camera Functions

  • Through a series of step-by-step lessons, an useful Guide Mode is provided to assist you in becoming familiar with the D3500 and its features.
  • Night Vision, Super Vivid, Pop, Photo Illustration, Toy Camera Effect, Miniature Effect, Selective Color, Silhouette, High Key, and Low Key are some of the Special Effects that can be used to creatively refine the look of imagery captured in-camera. • Picture Control modes, which can be accessed straight from the camera through a dedicated button, allow you to apply predetermined aesthetics to photos in-camera. These include Flat, Landscape, Monochrome, Neutral, Portrait, Standard, Vivid, and user-customizable settings, among others.
  • The use of Active D-Lighting while working in high contrast environments, such as backlight lighting, allows for the preservation of both highlight and shadow features. Because of the processing capacity of the EXPEED 4 CPU, a more regulated image will be created, with brightness levels that are closer to what is perceived naturally. This mode is best suited for working with subjects that are in motion.
  • Using Scene Auto Selector, your camera will automatically determine what you are photographing and how you are photographing it. It will then choose the most appropriate Scene Mode for the situation and modify the exposure settings to best depict the scene.
  • The following scene modes are available: Auto, Auto (Flash Off), Child, Close-up, Landscape, Night Portrait, Portrait, Sports, and Sports Night Portrait.
  • Image editing capabilities included into the camera: A variety of tools for color outlining and color sketching are available, as well as D-Lighting and distortion control, filter effects such as fisheye and image overlay, miniature effect and monochrome processing. Other tools include painting and perspective control for photo illustration, quick retouching such as red-eye correction and resizing as well as straightening and trimming.
  • English, French, Portuguese (Brazil), and Spanish are the languages that are supported.
