The Canon EOS Rebel T5i DSLR Camera is an APS-C format digital SLR camera featuring an 18MP CMOS sensor and the DIGIC 5 image processor. It is available in black or white. When used in conjunction with the EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM lens, it provides an effective range of focal lengths from wide-angle to standard.
In both bright and low-light scenarios, the Rebel T5i delivers fine details, accurate colors, and low noise images thanks to its 14-bit Analog/Digital conversion, an ISO range of 100-12800 (expandable to 25600), and Multi-Shot Noise Reduction.
When shooting with the viewfinder, the camera’s 9-point all cross-type autofocus system delivers quick focusing, and the camera’s Hybrid CMOS AF technology boosts autofocus rates when shooting in Live View. The Rebel T5i has a continuous shooting speed of up to 5 frames per second.
A 3.0 on the scale “With a 1,040k-dot resolution, the Clear View II Vari-angle Touchscreen LCD delivers composition and playback viewing capabilities. Its tilt and swivel capabilities make it simple to arrange images from unusual angles, and the monitor’s smudge-resistant covering helps to keep the image crisp. Touch Autofocus is a feature of the intuitive touchscreen operating.
Full HD 1080p at 30 frames per second and 24 frames per second is offered, with Movie Servo allowing for continuous focusing while recording. Manual exposure is available in video mode, and filming at 720p HD at 60 frames per second is possible. It includes a built-in stereo microphone with customizable audio level control to record high-quality audio tracks for your movies.
Using the Scene Intelligent Auto Mode, the camera automatically makes the best camera settings depending on scene identification. Improved scene detection is especially useful when shooting night situations. With advanced imaging capabilities including hand-held night scenes and high-dynamic-range backlight control, it’s easier than ever to capture tough photos. Seven Creative Filters offer expressive touches to your photographs and can even be viewed in real-time while shooting with Live View mode.
A wide range of Canon EF and EF-S lenses are compatible with the EOS Rebel T5i and its accompanying accessories. A Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM lens is used in conjunction with the camera, and it provides wide-angle to standard focal length shooting that is particularly developed for APS-C cameras.
This lens has a focal length comparable to 28.8-88mm in the 35mm format, and its minimum focus distance is 9.8 inches “….. Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) technology is included in this lens, which provides four stops of correction for blur produced by short shutter rates while shooting hand-held in low light or at longer focal lengths.
Fast autofocus is provided by an internal focusing mechanism, which, in conjunction with a Stepping Motor (STM) and six group zoom system, facilitates the Rebel T5i’s Movie Servo AF function, which allows for smooth and silent continuous autofocus during video recording.
It is possible to manually override the focus. In order to provide precise images across the zoom range, a high-precision aspherical element is used. Canon lens coatings are used to achieve perfect color balance and minimize ghosting and flare, and the lens is equipped with an anti-reflective coating.

Brightness control with seven levels is offered. The intuitive touchscreen interface makes menu navigation simple, and it even has Touch Autofocus functionality.
Video Capture in Full HD 1080p
Full HD Movie mode includes Movie Servo, which allows for continuous focus tracking of moving subjects while the video is being recorded. Exceptional quality control is provided by a manual exposure control and a built-in stereo microphone with manual audio level adjustment, while numerous frame rates and resolutions allow a variety of quality-level and creative shooting possibilities.
In Video mode, the ISO range is 100-6400, with the option of increasing it to 12800. Still, images may be captured while the video is being recorded by simply pushing the shutter button on the camera.
Conversion from A/D to 14-bits
In addition to capturing and recording photographs with delicate tone gradations and details, the EOS Rebel T5i also provides more realistic and color-accurate images thanks to its 14-bit analog-to-digital conversion. The EOS Rebel T5i can capture up to 16,384 colors per channel, ensuring that even the smallest details are captured with precision.
ISO sensitivity – Stills
Using an ISO range of 100-12800 (with the ability to go up to 25600), the camera is able to shoot images with little noise in low-light circumstances while capturing colors with rich saturation in bright ones.
Autofocus System with 9 points of detection
When shooting using the viewfinder, a 9-point all cross-type AF system (which includes a high-precision dual-cross f/2.8 center point) delivers fast and precise autofocus performance while using the viewfinder.
CMOS AF with hybrid CMOS
When taking photographs and videos in Live View, the Hybrid CMOS AF System is used to provide the best possible focus. Continuous focus tracking in Live View is made faster and more precise by combining two different types of AF-phase detection and contrast detection-and by combining them together.
