The Best Nikon D3x Memory Cards in 2023

Nikon’s professional D “single digit” series has been divided into two since the simultaneous launch of the D1H and D1X back in 2001. The X series is targeted for high-resolution applications like fashion or landscape photography, and the H series is for high-speed sports photography (lower resolution but faster continuous shooting). Although the Nikon D3 did not have an “H” in its moniker when it was first introduced in August 2007, it was obviously built for speed. The question then became not whether but rather when Nikon will release a high-resolution rival. After more than a year of keen expectation, it finally showed out in December 2008 in the form of the Nikon D3X.

Two CompactFlash memory card slots in the Nikon D3X support CF cards with a maximum storage capacity of 64GB. One Compact Flash card is the maximum that the camera will accept. More options for saving images are available when two cards are utilized.

You will need to have the most recent firmware installed in the Nikon D3X in order to use cards up to 64GB in size. Errors will appear if a CF card larger than 64GB is attempted to be used.
